Each year the CNE seems to get more and more media attention for all the healthy food choices, but there is still a lot of other things to see and do at the CNE, like shows, games and of course the rides! Below are some of the rides taken at night. Can you guess what the rides are?
The WTA tour stopped off in Toronto last week for the 2011 edition of the Rogers Cup. Each year I try to attend at least one day and I was able to go on Tuesday which had first and second round matches. The day didn’t start off well with lots of rain but after a 3 hour rain delay the skies cleared, the courts dried up and the matches started. The match I enjoyed the most was the doubles match between Gajdosova and Petrova vs Ivanovic and Petkovic. Gajdosova and Petrova dominated the first set (6-1) while Ivanovic and Petkovic won the next two sets (6-7, 6-10) to win the match. Here are some of my photos from the matches I attended. Last week my work held it’s 10th Annual charity golf tournament. It is one of the largest golf tournaments in Canada with over 1000 participants. This year there was over $600,000 raised and was distributed to various charities including Canadian Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, Look Good Feel Better, Canadian Women’s Foundation, and Zellers Community Project. This was the 6th year I volunteered at the tournament and my main job for the day was taking the team photos with 4 time NBA champion John Salley.
